A new video that’s lighting up the internet shows jubilant Burkinabè dancing in the streets as President Ibrahim Traoré unveiled the country’s first-ever locally manufactured electric buses.

The clip, tagged “BREAKING: Ibrahim Traoré just unveiled Burkina Faso’s first-ever electric buses — made in Africa, by Africans”, has sparked pan-African pride and gone viral across platforms.

Amid the celebration, whispers swirled that tech billionaire Elon Musk was reportedly “sh0cked” by the bold move—proof that Africa is not just catching up but taking the lead in clean tech innovation.
